October 22, 2019

One of the things I always notice about this time of year is that many people start to get lax.

In the next week, October is over, and people – particularly Americans – start thinking about eating turkey at the end of November. Unconsciously, they will lower the gear in life and turn on cruise control for the rest of 2018.

What a waste!

There are 2 months left in this year. For all intents and purposes, 2019 is here, and, if you’re in cruise control for the last 2 months of the year, you’re not going to be ready to hit the ground running once January 1 kicks in.

And you know what? January is a huge month for coaches!

Here are 3 ways to re-engage to make the most of the final weeks of the year and set yourself up for 2019:

Many businesses and their salespeople virtually closeup shop and cut their losses in November and December.

This is actually something you can leverage because most people who are selling services are sort of non-existent. They stop selling. They figure no one wants to think about them until after the first of the new year.

Many coaches go into hibernation mode with their businesses because they think the exact same thing.

Frankly, right now is a time when things start to slow down for most people because they’re going in to work with little or nothing to do. The phones at work are quieter than normal.

This is when you jump in. This is exactly when you re-engage with the people in your network. You’ll be the only one who is trying to attract new clients right now. 2019 is here! It’s time for them to think about it.

For your existing clients and perhaps some past clients, it’s a great time to re-engage and ask them to consider setting some new goals and re-commit to the coaching relationship. Show those people you’ve got your own act together and that you’re forward thinking.

[ult_cornerbox color=”000000″ backgroundcolor=”FFFFFF” bordercolor=”000000″ borderwidth=”1″ borderstyle=”solid” icon=”” ]2. Re-engage your own personal development/life coach training goals.[/ult_cornerbox]

It’s very possible you’ve somehow put everything else ahead of your own goals.

Did 2018 get away from you and you’re walking away from the year without completing your life coach certification?

Are their other personal development goals that you didn’t finish?

Right now is an amazing time to look at your calendar and plot how you’re going to finish.

For certification, I can tell you our Life Coach Certification Course is fully online, on-demand, and self-paced. You can get certified in 30 hours. It’s doable.

[ult_cornerbox color=”000000″ backgroundcolor=”FFFFFF” bordercolor=”000000″ borderwidth=”1″ borderstyle=”solid” icon=”” ]3. Re-engage your creativity for your coaching practice.[/ult_cornerbox]

There is an alarm inside most human beings on the planet that causes them to consider their lives, their dreams, aspirations, their wants and needs that always goes off during this time.

It makes a lot of sense to create a program that’s geared for January 1.

Best of all, you can start advertising it now. Don’t wait until January 1 to talk about it. If you do, you’re too late!

You can advertise something you haven’t completed working on because you’ve still got 8 weeks.

Yes, people will be spending a lot of money in November and December.

But it’s also true that their goals still matter, and they can find it in their hearts to be generous to themselves.

Besides the obvious things about creating a product that people want, it’s time to dream and take action towards your business goals of 2019.

  • Think about what worked in 2018, and plan to do more of that.
  • Think about what’s not working and revamp or cut it out.
  • Think about your target market – what will you do to serve them better in 2019?
  • Think about your marketing – does your website or social media need a new campaign?

Whatever you do, don’t go to sleep through the rest of this year. Right now is an extraordinarily strategic time. Make the most of it!
