Some coaching clients will talk through everything. Others are naturally quieter, more reserved, and may take longer to respond.
For a new coach, that can be uncomfortable. You may start talking more, asking more questions, or trying harder to draw them out because it feels like the session isn’t working.
But quiet doesn’t mean disengaged. And trying to “fix” a client’s communication style can actually make coaching them more difficult.
In this week’s #MENTORMONDAY, we’re looking at three common mistakes coaches make with quiet or reserved clients and what to do instead.
